owned, our roots run deep in Oklahoma City.
Turf Team began as a lawn-mowing business and grew on the foundation of a few simple principles: providing excellent, personalized care for our customers, and creating outdoor spaces that inspire.
Scott Burris, affectionately known as Chief, is a Turf Team founder and Director of Account Management, and he’s served the OKC metro for more than 20 years. To this day, Chief remains the face of Turf Team. He has Chickasaw and Choctaw heritage, and he leads the team in our deeply held connections with the Indian Nation as well as a number of long-term residential and corporate clients.

The Ground Floor.
Our founders start out as a local lawn-mowing service and begin growing our client base from the ground up.
1997
Our Service Expands.
We purchase a spray rig and trailer to better serve our clients’ needs across the city.
1999
Turf Team is Founded.
We make it official with the naming of Turf Team, Oklahoma’s premier landscaping company.
2004
Turf Team Moves.
Turf Team acquires our 5.8-acre property on East Wilshire, where we’re headquartered to this day.
